Coronavirus (COVID-19) We have put lots of new measures in place to ensure you can have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Furthermore, you can book without worrying about what may happen in the event of further restrictions; Please refer to our Terms & Conditions page. We will continue to update this page with more information as and when needed, but in the meantime we would like to thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult period. Safety Measures Looking after the health and safety of our guests has always been paramount. The Old Lifeboat House is cleaned by ourselves, the owners, to a high standard, however right now any ‘normal’ cleaning procedures will simply not be enough. We have had a thorough review and risk assessment of our usual procedures to ensure we are all as safe as possible and to give you peace of mind when you take your well-earned holiday. These new procedures, plus lots more, include:
As we’re sure you’ll be aware, new research is being conducted all of the time, and this can often prompt a change in Government guidance. We will, of course, keep up to date with the latest information and adapt our approach appropriately. A cleaning kit will be provided for you, along with hand soap, as we encourage hand washing each time you enter or leave the property to the property. We suggest that you pack essential items such as sanitisers, bacterial wipes, toilet rolls as these items may become short in supply. As always, The Old Lifeboat House runs on the ethos of 'please leave it as you would expect to find it', however more than ever we would appreciate you leaving the cottage clean and tidy so we can be efficient in preparing it for the next guest. Village Life
This year you will need to be even more prepared and as self-sufficient at the property as possible. Local shops and services are going to be very busy and have limited capacity due to social distancing requirements. In addition, local pubs and restaurants (if they are allowed to open) will have reduced capacity. All will have their own guidelines in place and encourage the use of face masks. Please ensure you are respectful of their rules and guidelines. Our advice is to spend time on the web before your holiday to plan things carefully and check directly with that business if these are crucial to their plans. The more you plan, the more enjoyable your holiday will be. ![]() |
